Global CRVS group conducts a four-part webinar series on COVID-19 and CRVS

The UN Statistics Division, in close cooperation with the Organization of America States, ECLAC, the Global CRVS Group and CLARCIEV (Latin American and Caribbean Council for Civil Registration, Identity and Vital Statistics) concluded a series of four webinars on the impact of COVID-19 on civil registration and vital statistics in Latin American countries.

Civil registrars and statisticians from twenty Latin America countries participated. This webinar is yet another in the series of events that clearly indicate a considerable adverse impact of the pandemic on the universal registration of vital events and the resulting vital statistics. All the proceedings are available at the UN Legal Identity Agenda website.
