UNICEF, UNDESA, and UNDP, co-chairs of the UN Legal Identity Agenda (UNLIA) Taskforce, on behalf of the governments of Cambodia and Cameroon, cordially invite you to participate in a side event on the implementation of the UN Legal Identity Agenda in Cambodia and Cameroon. The side event will take place in person on Thursday, September 15, 2022, 18.30 - 19.30 hours, in Danny Kaye Hall, UNICEF HQ, 3 UN Plaza, 11017 New York City.

The event is organized in partnership and with the support of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Data for Health Initiative. It aims to demonstrate the successful implementation of the UNLIA recommended approach to Civil Registration and Vital Statistics and Identity Management (CRVSID) following a life course approach – starting with birth registration and exiting with death registration – through country examples from Cambodia and Cameroon and provide an opportunity for knowledge sharing and learning.

The programme will feature a 15-minute country presentation from Cambodia and Cameroon, respectively, to showcase the UNLIA journey in the two countries.
